TATEI — architectural concept, design development and visualization project by Rivas Mercado
introduction
project overview
TATEI — from the Huichol word meaning Mother Nature — is the first proprietary architectural project developed by RIVAS MERCADO.
Born from the desire to reconnect design with the natural and ancestral, the project proposes a return to origin: building spaces that coexist with their environment instead of dominating it.
Located in San Pancho, Nayarit, TATEI seeks to merge architecture, lifestyle, and conscious investment. Every decision — from materials and orientation to land use and financial structure — was conceived to ensure that design and sustainability can coexist with purpose and long-term value.
Beyond being an architectural development, TATEI represents a philosophy: to create with respect, inhabit with awareness, and invest with intention.

what we achieved
We developed the conceptual and financial foundations for TATEI — a design-led real estate model where architecture, environment, and community are deeply intertwined.
Through a series of conceptual renders and strategic planning studies, we defined the aesthetic language, the zoning logic, and the architectural rhythm that will guide the project’s next phase of construction.
TATEI is not just a place to live — it’s a living system, designed to regenerate value: for the land, for its residents, and for the people who make it possible.
